Amazon Web Services (AWS) faced a widespread outage on October 20, disrupting several major platforms, including Apple TV, Reddit, and Snapchat. The outage, lasting nearly 12 hours, coincided with Diwali celebrations in India and affected online businesses running festive campaigns. AWS later attributed the issue to a DNS error in its US-East-1 region.
