    Instagram Lite vs Instagram: Differences Explained

    Instagram Lite, first released in 2020, was taken down by Meta soon after its launch, only to be relaunched later in March 2021 in 107 countries. The 'Lite' version of Instagram was aiming to serve people who live in regions with poor internet connectivity, as it can render content even on a 2G connection. Moreover, it occupies significantly less space on your phone. However, it is only available on Android phones and lacks a few features when compared to Instagram.
