    'Seriously' injured player ineligible to play for a week, needs COE nod

    The BCCI has updated Ranji Trophy playing conditions to address serious injury replacements, mandating a seven-day stand-down period and fitness clearance from the Centre of Excellence. This new provision, part of an ICC pilot project, aims to prevent misuse of injury replacements. Additionally, demerit points and sanctions will now carry over across all formats.
